Azelaic Acid is a 3-in-1, clinically proven active ingredient for acne, pigment spots & redness. However, it has the disadvantage of being difficult to formulate, so it has a heavier, creamier consistency.
This formula contains high levels of a new generation form of azelaic acid, Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate (PAD), which is as effective as 'normal' azelaic acid but allows for a super-light, oil-free texture. This means that it can be used by those who are averse to the slightly creamier textures that products with azelaic acid usually have.
PAD effectively treats oily or acne-prone, sun-damaged (pigment spots), or sensitive skin. Its two main properties are its ability to normalize fat production and its ability to fade pigment spots by blocking the enzyme that produces pigments. As a bonus, it is also pleasantly hydrating and reduces redness.
This serum contains 20% Azeclair technology with a high concentration of 6% pure PAD.
